La película Freaks es una cinta dirigida por Tod Browning en 1932. En 1931 había alcanzado un gran éxito con Drácula. Decidió volver a la Metro, en donde su amigo Harry Earles, un enano alemán, le sugirió la idea de adaptar el cuento de Tod Robbins, Espuelas ("Spurs"), en dónde se trata la venganza que un enano, artista de circo, se toma sobre la trapecista que le intentó burlar, casándose con él para robarle y burlarse de él.One of us!
